We've paid tribute to our founder's Korean heritage by designing a collection tailored from our premium European linen and inspired by exquisite Korean artwork. These limited pieces are cut in classic silhouettes and finished with our new original print that will elevate them above all the others in your collection.
The Inspiration Behind the Collection
We've taken a trip to the East for inspiration.
Our capsule collection is adorned with a print deeply influenced by 19th-century Korean painted folding screens. These folding screens were treasured by the royalty of that time, often displayed behind the king's throne, and contained deep symbolism and cultural value.
One folding screen, in particular, captured our eyes: the "Shipjangsaengdo," or the Ten Symbols of Longevity. This monumental silk screen painting holds immense significance in Korean culture. You can explore more on Google Arts here.
It features natural motifs believed to hold the secrets to a long, healthy life. In Asian society, the number ten is also important and means perfect and complete. Wearing our capsule collection will hopefully make you feel effortlessly sophisticated as well as a little immortal.
The 10 Symbols of Longevity
Here are the 10 Symbols of Longevity. You'll see them make appearances all over our new designs. We've added the Korean name of each symbol in brackets for the language enthusiasts. There is not one that is more important than the other, but it's the harmony between them all that unlocks the door to eternal life.
- Red sun (hae). It symbolises the infinite nature of our realm—the sun will always rise again tomorrow.
- Mountains (san). Stable and immovable even in the face of extreme weather. They'll stand in the same place for centuries.
- Pine trees (sonamu). These stay green all year round and can live up to 1,000 years old.
- Magical mushroom (yeongji). A mythical reddish-pink mushroom that can give the gift of immortality to those who eat it, that is, if you can find it…
- Water (mul). It can be both calm and omnipotent. But there is one thing for certain: without water there would be no life.
- Bamboo (daenamu). It's a highly flexible and resilient plant that can thrive with little water or soil.
- Cranes (hak). Graceful birds that can fly high in the sky and closer to heaven.
- Clouds (gureum). Represent the balanced Yin and Yang energies. Balance is a key to longevity.
- Deer (saseum). Gentle animals that live a quiet life in the forest that is in perfect harmony with nature.
From Art to Fabric
It has been a long process to bring these designs to life. We've taken extra time to ensure the pieces are wearable, versatile and timeless. It doesn't get much more timeless than wearing a 19th century painting—truly classic.
We've purposefully chosen complementary colours for the print such as beige, khaki and accents of red. Our intention was never for the print to overpower or be louder than the rest of your outfit. Instead, we've designed it to be just as understated as our staple white and black pieces, with the volume turned up slightly.

The intricate motifs of our original print are deeply symbolic, aesthetically beautiful and speak to our brand values. The Ten Symbols of Longevity emphasise the importance of being in harmony with nature. Through our focus on sustainability and natural fabrics, we're also trying to be gentle with the environment.
This collection has plenty of firsts, but our impeccable quality has remained. Expect our signature OEXO-TEK certified European linen, French seams and traditional techniques, all made in-house by artisans in our factory in Portugal.

LUXMII Linen has never done this before. So, it was crucial for us that we remained authentic to our brand and customers and did print our way—thoughtfully and meaningfully, with our refined and sophisticated approach.
Our printed collection will be a limited release, with a restricted number of pieces available to buy, partly due to the printed fabric, which has been specially designed and is limited. It's still cut from LUXMII's OEKO-TEX certified European linen that you know and love.
We do not want to oversaturate the market, ensuring these designs remain rare and prestigious. When dressed in our capsule pieces, you can be sure that you'll always look completely different from anyone else, wherever you're going.
